Albert G Nickel Park
Albert G Nickel takes the cake for the best, and tallest, climber in the city. Your older kids, and climbing younger kids, will enjoy the challenge of making it to the top. It’s fantastic for a game of ‘the floor is lava’ and features an elevated climber that we really, really like. Bring your imagination for the lemonade stand!

Parc Reunis
Parc Reunis has the tallest of tall slides that you’re going to adventure down this summer, and a must-visit this month in Edmonton. The playground just so happens to have wide open spaces, perfect for wandering, and a toddler playground right down the path. Add this Edmonton playground to your list for kids of all ages.

Mills Haven Playground
With twelve swings and challenging climbers scattered throughout this new Edmonton playground, it’s a must-visit this month. There is something for every child, from the agility course, to the accessible swing, and rope climbers to create a bit of challenge during play.

This playground will send you on a scavenger hunt, and features a tall twisty slide that’s perfect for shimmying down. Plus, it’s tucked away in the shade - perfect for those hot summer days. Parkview Parkour Playground
Find out how high you can make it up the Victory Wall at Parkview Playground. In the city, it can be difficult to find Edmonton playgrounds for older children, but here’s one they’re going to love. It’s actually the first type of this playground feature in Western Canada.

Highlands School Playground
If your squad hasn’t experienced the dynamic playspaces at Highland, you should change that, this week. First, it has one of the most massive, interesting climbers in the city. Second, there’s a spinning zip-line swing that makes for endless entertainment. Trust us, children of all ages are going to love this one.

Hearthstone Playground
Opening Late Spring
This is unique, fort and treehouse style playground north of Sherwood Park, in the Hearthstone Neighbourhood. Though it’s not open just yet, it’s one to keep an eye on because of the opportunity for climbing and imaginative play!

Wildrose Elementary School
Get ready for imaginations to run wild here, at this series of treehouses that can be anything from a community to a network of birdhouses (they’ve been both during our play sessions here!). Raised off the ground but still accessible enough for the toddlers in our squad, it’s a playground we visit often in St. Albert.

The climber at Prince Rupert Park is a multi-layered course and a wonderful way to run (and climb) off some energy this month in Edmonton. This Edmonton playground is a fantastic addition to the city, for older kids and younger kids.
