Try orinteering at City of Edmonton play rangers! This free drop in program is a fun way to get outside this weekend and learn orienteering! There are two locations with full-days of fun, for you to explore a new park in the city and take part in city end programming.

St. Albert ‘Try It’ Sports Day
Discover the diverse recreational opportunities and programs offered in our community! There is no cost for this event, which allows local children to ‘try it’ for different sports offerings in the community. It’s a popular ‘try it: sports’ day for St. Albert, with a fun experience for the whole family. There are more than twenty types of sports and clubs highlighted at this free family fun event.

Celebrate Cineplex Community Day on November 4th with a morning of FREE MOVIES* and $2.50 concessions! Cineplex Community Day returns for 2023. It’s the most fun you’ll have giving back this year. Drop a Pumpkin from the Fire Tower in Strathcona County
Join Emergency Services between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and give your old jack-o-lanterns and pumpkins a good second use! Drop your pumpkins from the hose tower at Fire Station 6 for a donation to help raise money for Muscular Dystrophy.

Drop in WIBIT Swim at MacEwan
Make a splash, or try as long as you can not to, with our new and wild water Wibit. Run, climb, crawl, hop, balance, and slide your way across the aquatic obstacle course. Wibit Swims are on the first Saturday of every month from 2 to 4 p.m. for those age 6 and older. Regular drop-in fees apply.

Free Saturday Morning Games at THE REC ROOM
This Saturday between 9am and 12pm, you can visit both locations of THE REC ROOM to play a free morning of games in support of Cineplex Community Day. When you visit THE REC ROOM, you’ll receive a free bracelet valid for two hours to play in the Yard at the arcade, and have a fun morning out with the kids (for free!)

Michaels Makebreak: Make a Free Ornament
Every Sunday, there are free make break Sunday afternoon crafts at Michaels. You can drop into the store, no registration required, every weekend for a fun, seasonal, rotating craft. Every weekend, staff members will assist children to create a craft, and you can browse the store, or help along with them!

Every Sunday, families can visit the Whitemud branch of Edmonton Public Library to watch a movie, free of charge, at the library. EPL has a great selection of children's films for the entire family. Join the fun for a family movie, every week.

Learn to Make Your Own Emoji
Kids will learn fun ways to create their own emoji. We’ll show them how to draw colourful faces and objects. They’ll get hands-on using the Procreate app on iPad with Apple Pencil to draw an emoji to take home. Devices will be provided.
