Canadian Tire Magic of Lights - Starting November 19, 2021 

The Canadian Tire Magic of Lights is 2 kilometers of festive and vibrant LED-lighted displays celebrating the joy of the holidays. A “drive-through” experience from the comfort of your own car. At every turn, and in every direction, the magical route is overflowing with spectacular light displays and animations. Multiple holiday themes come to life with hundreds of thousands of sparkling lights! The magic opens 5-10pm, daily, and is $25/vehicle.

Winter Wonder Forest - Starting November 19, 2021

Winter Wonder Forest returns this year with an incredible display of drive, and horse and carriage, walk through lights, just outside of the city. Families will be able to explore our outdoor experience on foot this year, in two hour time slots, and participate in a variety of activities that will be available. From Horse-drawn sleigh rides to visiting Santa at his workshop, holiday fun will be right at everyone's fingertips this year!

All Is Bright on 124th - November 20, 2021 

All is Bright is an annual free community light-up festival that caters to families and patrons of all ages. Join the 124 Street community to celebrate the coming of the winter season by lighting up 124 Street with illumination, live music, street performers, face painting, fun winter activities, and more!

Strathcona County Celebration of Lights - November 20 

Wear your favourite holiday sweater or elf hat and join us at the Celebration of Lights! This family-friendly event is entirely free and aims to entertain the whole family with an LED tree show, holiday music, holiday activities and games, a fire dancer, and friendly characters, as well as a special appearance from both Santa and the Grinch!

Glow Edmonton - Starting November 24, 2021

Lights Up! in Fort Saskatchewan - November 26, 2021

Families and or cohorts will get a chance to take socially distanced pictures with Saint Nick, warm up at our fire pits, take a custom photo at our photobooth (printed on-site as a take-away), grab an individually wrapped cookie and hot chocolate, take home a custom caricature print, take photos with our roaming characters such as Elsa, Anna and the Grinch, marvel as the Mayor reads T’was the Night Before Christmas, and lastly partake in the countdown as we Light Up City Hall.

Winter on Whyte Light Up Festival - November 27, 2021

Join the Old Strathcona Business Association as they light up McIntyre Park to kick-off the holiday season. On Saturday, November 27, they’re turning McIntyre Park into a winter wonderland.

Luminaria at The Botanic Garden - November 27, 2021

Winter dreams of celebration. Immerse yourself in a joyful animated light display set to music in the dramatic Aga Khan Garden. Celebrate Indigenous experience, including a new sculpture by noted artist Jason Carter. Say hello to the illuminated Snow Sprites and bow to a beautiful Snow Queen. Eat, drink and be merry! Indulge in a signature beverage and warming food and drink offerings at the Patio Cafe.

Kingsway Drive Through Holiday Parade - November 28, 2021

Take the kids on a drive through holiday parade, or a reverse parade, where you’ll do the driving, and catch a glimpse of fun holiday decorations at Kingsway. Last year, the event included cookies, hot chocolate, and even goodie bags!

Leduc Country Lights - Starting December 1, 2021

This walk-through Christmas Lights celebrate is a must-do holiday tradition here in Edmonton. It’s acres and acres of holiday lights displays, hot chocolate and the best way to spend an evening with the kids getting into the holiday spirit. Keeping it low cost for family activities it’s only $2/person to attend the celebration.

Zoominescence - Starting December 3, 2021

Enjoy this spectacular exhibition of artistic light installations within the unique setting of the Edmonton Valley Zoo. The festival is designed to celebrate light, artistry, imagination and the strong spirit of community in the winter. You can buy tickets for an evening of light, animals, skating, hot chocolate and fun for the whole family!

Christmas at Bob’s

Located at located on the corner of 7421 108st NW in Edmonton, Christmas at Bob’s is a staple for enjoying holiday lights through the Christmas season. You can stop by, free of charge, after December 1 - that’s when the lights turn on!

Candy Cane Lane

Nestled within the canopied trees of the Crestwood community lies the wholly committed neighborhood that decorates the exterior of their homes for in celebration of the holiday season. Curb appeal at its best, especially if you're Santa... Last year, the event was structured as a drive, only, without sleigh rides available. Details will be available soon to help you plan your experience at Candy Cane Lane in 2021.
