2021 Edmonton Christmas Light Up Festivals this Month - 2021(and they’re all free)

This month, the holidays are going full force. There are light up festivals, holiday fun planned and things Tod wo tight eh kids to celebrate the season, all month long. November also means the launch of holiday light up festivals, and you can visit the festivals to experience some holiday magic, visits with Santa, drive by Christmas lights, and magical activities for the whole family. The best part? It’s completely free for families to attend.

Edmonton 2021 Christmas Holiday Light up Festivals

All Is Bright on 124th - November 20, 2021

All is Bright is an annual free community light-up festival that caters to families and patrons of all ages. Join the 124 Street community to celebrate the coming of the winter season by lighting up 124 Street with illumination, live music, street performers, face painting, fun winter activities, and more!

Strathcona County Celebration of Lights - November 20

Wear your favourite holiday sweater or elf hat and join us at the Celebration of Lights! This family-friendly event is entirely free and aims to entertain the whole family with an LED tree show, holiday music, holiday activities and games, a fire dancer, and friendly characters, as well as a special appearance from both Santa and the Grinch!

Lights Up! in Fort Saskatchewan - November 26, 2021

Families and or cohorts will get a chance to take socially distanced pictures with Saint Nick, warm up at our fire pits, take a custom photo at our photobooth (printed on-site as a take-away), grab an individually wrapped cookie and hot chocolate, take home a custom caricature print, take photos with our roaming characters such as Elsa, Anna and the Grinch, marvel as the Mayor reads T’was the Night Before Christmas, and lastly partake in the countdown as we Light Up City Hall.

Winter on Whyte Light Up Festival - November 27, 2021

Join the Old Strathcona Business Association as they light up McIntyre Park to kick-off the holiday season. On Saturday, November 27, they’re turning McIntyre Park into a winter wonderland.

Leduc Country Lights - December 1, 2021

This walk-through Christmas Lights celebrate is a must-do holiday tradition here in Edmonton. It’s acres and acres of holiday lights displays, hot chocolate and the best way to spend an evening with the kids getting into the holiday spirit. Keeping it low cost for family activities it’s only $2/person to attend the celebration.

Downtown Edmonton Light up Festival

The date has not yet been announced or rhyme down town holiday light up festival. We’re excited about this one - even if there is no special event for the light up ceremony, the legislature and downtown is an incredible place to see Christmas lights in Edmonton.
