Drop in for a free program at Miquelon Lake! Learn about pollinators, bugs, bats and more at this fun, family-friendly month of summer drop in events at Miquelon Lake!
Get out of town and visit Discovery Canyon for free tubing in Red Deer!
Every Monday, there is free storytime in the park with St. Albert Library
Find a stretch of creek to enjoy on the river and watch the sunset with a picnic! You’ll find us all summer at Voyageur Park, just outside of Edmonton in Devon!
Explore a new playground - Use the best playgrounds in Edmonton Map to find your next adventure!
Learn about Nature at the daily programming! The Big Lake Environment Support Society is hosting another year of their summer nature program out at Big Lake in Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park. Starting July 2nd, families can attend pre-registered sessions to learn about the nature found in the park. Sessions run Monday through Friday from July 2nd to August 30th
Pop by Salisbury Greenhouse because there’s a FREE Scavenger hunt the kids can complete in-store. When they’re finished, they’ll be rewarded with a small plant!
Pop in for Outdoor Fun at City of Edmonton Green Shack
Every summer, program leaders host games, challenges and activities that are sure to get kids active and having fun! A list of activities and special events will be posted on the side of the Green Shack each week. Green shack happens daily, at parks around the city.
Kick off the Month with Free Canada Day Celebrations

Green Shack Shows

This summer, the Edmonton Arts Council is thrilled to once again partner with the City of Edmonton to present“Green Shack Shows.” Throughout July and August, free concerts and performances will happen five days a week at Green Shacks across the city with one performance in the morning (morning shows at 11 am), and another in the afternoon (afternoon shows at 2:30 pm). The first week of July will feature Joyful Noise and Dancing Cree.
