A Massive New Edmonton Park is Opening in the River Valley in August

There’s a new place to explore, play and wander, in the River Valley, coming to Edmonton in August. The City of Edmonton is opening a brand new park in the River Valley, in the northeast part of Edmonton, complete with a playground, this August.

The new park has yet to be named, and will include a playground, event centre and places to gather. Currently closed, the park is undergoing improvements to be ready to open to the public in August.

Larger than Hawrelak Park, you’ll be able to wander through trails while you experience nature in the River Valley. A massive 150+ acres provide plenty of places to play, wander and explore in Edmonton’s newest river valley park. The property was previously known as, Our Lady of Queen Peace Ranch, and features multiple family-friendly amenities.
