An Epic Mountain Bike Park is Coming to Queen Elizabeth Park

Tune up your bikes for the season because in 2026, Edmonton will be welcoming its first mountain bike park at Queen Elizabeth Park. The park will be located in Queen Elizabeth Park, east of the Walterdale Bridge. Tucked away in the wooden area will be a multi-element Mountain Bike Park.

There will be four main areas included in the Edmonton Mountain Bike Park: a flow zone, an asphalt pump track, a skills area, and a dirt jump zone.

“Our trail system throughout the valley is great but there’s no place to hone in on your skills, so this will be a very well-used asset for many mountain bikers to come and practice their skills in a safe area,” Edmonton Mountain Bike Alliance co-chair Matt Edwards said.

The fundraising goal had been reached with more than a $600,000 grant from the province, contributing to the full $1.2 million cost to complete teh rest of hte park.

The Edmonton Mountain Bike Alliance aims to start construction in the coming weeks, with plans to complete the park by 2026.
