Free Skate Rentals and LIVE DJ at Ice Grooves
Winter City Weekends are returning to City Hall Plaza! With the arrival of frostier temperatures, the Edmonton Arts Council is welcoming back Ice Grooves, Swing n’ Skate and free skate rentals. Bring your cool moves to City Hall Plaza Ice Grooves! Skate and dance along to live DJs every Friday and Saturday night from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.

NERF Wars at Sherbrooke Community League
Bring your NERF gun(s) and be ready to defend yourself! Extra ammo will be provided. There will be extra games set up for a break from the ultimate battle of those lovable and lose-able foam bullets. Refreshments are provided for the kids, healthy and otherwise. Enjoy a break from being locked inside your house to being inside the Community Hall, so much room to run, hide and win!

FREE Drop in City of Edmonton Play Rangers
Play Rangers focuses on children and family participation, with planned special outdoor recreational activities that can be enjoyed by all. Children (ages 6-12) are welcome to attend on their own.

This Saturday afternoon show is for you! Rapid Fire Theatre’s hilarious performers create this entire show right off the top of their heads, but in order to pull it off, we’re going to need help from all the kids in the audience. Learn to Cross County Ski - With the Family
Embrace the thrill of exploring the outdoors on skis with our dynamic programs designed specifically for adults aged 18 and up. 2nd Annual Emerge: Splash Into the New Year Event at WEM World Waterpark! Enjoy live music, zippiness and a night of fun splashing into the waterpark!

Skate the Night Away at Sherbrooke Community League
Late night rink access after the rink closes! There are movies in the hall to take breaks and chill out, followed with a sleepover in the hall! Youth will enjoy breakfast in the morning including pancakes (dietary restrictions can be accommodated).

Sunday

FREE Swing & Skate at City Hall
Swing​‘n Skate will be back at City Hall on Sundays from 1:00 – 4:00 pm throughout January and February. Show off your best moves to some swing, big band, soca, salsa and more inside Edmonton City Hall. If you’d rather be outdoors, the music will be broadcast directly outside for ice skaters at City Hall Plaza.

Lunar New Year Celebration at Londonderry Mall
Join the fun at the mall on Sunday, January 26, for a vibrant Lunar New Year celebration brought to you by the Edmonton Chinese Bilingual Education Association. Enjoy lively lion dances, captivating martial arts demos, arts and crafts, a wishing tree, and so much more!
