Gateway to the Stars at Elk Island National Park
Gateway to the Stars is an introductory stargazing program where park interpreters guide participants using star charts to find some of the major constellations visible in the night sky in the fall. We then use the Big Dipper as our Gateway to the Stars to explore other constellations visible to the human eye and along the way tell some of the cultural stories about the constellations. Campfire and a friendly park interpreter are included. Telescopes are not used in this program.

Catch a Secret Pop-up Magic Show at The Rec Room
Step into an intimate parlour setting, meticulously designed for an exclusive audience of 48 people. Now with tiered seating, every guest is guaranteed a front-row experience. Catch Rapunzel on Stage at Roxy Theatre
AMTC is thrilled to present a spectacular new musical adaptation of one of the greatest fairytales of all time: Rapunzel! Gifted with magically long and glorious hair, Rapunzel has been imprisoned by a nefarious witch in a great tower all her life. But, one day, strangers wander by with a magic of their own that will set Rapunzel free: music! Let down your hair and experience AMTC’s hilarious and heart-warming new musical. Tickets are on sale for $14, including a $1 ticketing fee.

Catch Coraline in 3D on the Big Screen at Cineplex Family Favourites
Every weekend at Cineplex, there’s a family-friendly movie screening of your favourite classic family films - and tickets are only $3.99. This is a great way to catch a family movie on the big screen, without breaking the bank - and this week, it’s one of our favourites: Coraline. Tickets can be purchased in advance online, and in-theatre.

Get Free Admission to Royal Alberta Museum
It’s that time of year again! Celebrate Alberta Culture Days with us and enjoy a FREE visit to the museum from September 28 -29! See millions of years of natural and cultural history, get up close and personal with live insects, and play all day in the Children's Gallery. And if you’ve been waiting to check out Angkor: The Lost Empire of Cambodia, now’s your chance.

Family Adventure Club North showcases the City of Edmonton’s new Northeast River Valley Park (903 153 Ave NE) through various outdoor and nature based learning activities. Leaders are excited to share an adventure with you in Edmonton's new North East River Valley Park, during a monthly drop-in play session.

City of Edmonton Play Rangers is Back for Fall
City of Edmonton Play Rangers is back for fall. Join the fun at Whitemud Park for Shelter building, disc golf and fun and games. This free, drop-in program is a great way to get the kids outside during an instructor led program in Edmonton’s river valley.

Fall O Ween Festival at Prairie Gardens
With over 15 acres of pumpkins planted – of all shape, colour and size imaginable, and wide open spaces – this is a fun and safe family activity! Hayrides, corn mazes, scarecrow making, potato digging and cabbage patch visits are all part of the fun. Back at the Prairie Gardens homestead, there are farm animals, bale mazes, a sunflower maze, the Lost Lemon Gem Mine, and a Pumpkin Corny-val with pumpkin bowling, pumpkin ring toss, bale jumps and more!
