City of Edmonton Launches Play Rangers Every Saturday at Local Playgrounds

City of Edmonton Play Rangers

There’s a brand new playground coming to communities around the city, this fall and winter. Play Rangers is a new, fun, way to get out of the house and take part in actives with other children, and community leaders. It’s a great way to bring older kids to the playground (aged 6-12), and give them time to engage and interact with other children, on their own.

City of Edmonton Play Rangers

Play Rangers focuses on building community and family participation with planned special outdoor activities that can be enjoyed by families or individuals. Children 6-12 years old are welcome to attend on their own. Starting location will always be the shack at the park and some activities may venture into the community.

Play Rangers will run on Saturdays from September 18 - December 18 at a variety of locations. Neighbourhood playgrounds will either have an AM program time (10:30am-12:30pm) or a PM program time (2-4pm).

Activities include: orienteering, fire-building and games, community walk and scavenger hunt, snow fun days and more.
