Get Ready in The Park Returns to Edmonton this Weekend

ach year, the City of Edmonton’s Office of Emergency Management organizes Get Ready in the Park during Emergency Preparedness Week. This event is free, informative and interactive fun for the whole family. It’s a chance for kids to engage and interact with local emergency services, and get a glimpse of the action, up close!

2022 Get Ready in the Park – ”Be Emergency Ready”

Date: Saturday, May 7, 2022
Time: 10am-3pm
LocationWilliam Hawrelak Park

At Get Ready in the Park, kids will learn how emergency responders train and prepare year-round to help Edmontonians during a crisis. The Office of Emergency Management will be joined by more than 60 groups from Edmonton’s emergency response community that will be showcasing emergency vehicles and equipment.

Find out how you and  your family can prepare for an emergency.  Kids (or kids at heart) can get behind the wheel of a fire truck or peek inside other emergency vehicles.

With food trucks on site for lunch, or a picnic packed for lunch, it’s a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon in Edmonton.
