GUIDE: Edmonton Kid-friendly Haunted Houses You can See for FREE (and cheap) this Year in Edmonton | 2021

Halloween season is here, and we’ve got your free Edmonton haunted houses and cheap haunted house experiences to share with the family, covered. Here’s where to experience free Halloween haunted houses in Edmonton area this year.

Edmonton Family-friendly Haunted Houses

Rutherford Manor Haunt

Keep this one for the over 12s, as it’s not created for small children. The weekend before Halloween, you can experience the haunting at Rutherford Manor. You can visit on October 29, 30, 31 and experience the haunt for yourself.

Kiwi Nurseries (free with food bank donation)

Kids under two are free for this kid-friendly haunt. The annual haunted house will take place through the trail system, October 14th to October 31, 2021. The haunt takes place 6PM to 8:30PM, nightly, with a bit less of a scare between 6PM and 6:45PM. The admission is $5 per person, but kids under the age of ten are free, or you can get yourself into the haunted house with a food bank donation. Your ticket even includes a small commemorative flashlight.

Spruce Ridge Scare

This one is a local amateur haunted house, ready to haunt for the fourth year (and getting scarier every year). This year, even though it’s all ages, you’re going to save this one for the over 10 crowd because it gets scarier every year. Admission is suggested $5 or a donation of your choice, and you can even bring along a donation to the food bank.

Haunted Hike Kids Hours

In the afternoon, the haunted hike becomes a little less haunted, and a little more family friendly. Find this haunt at 287 Spruce Ridge Road but keep in mind that this year is going to be scarier than ever before - and the recommended age is 10+ for the haunt. It’s $5 for kids to enter the Haunted Hike, and there are 18 rooms of gruesome, Halloween entertainment.

Delwood Haunted House

October 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 & 31 you’ll find a pop up haunted house benefiting the Alberta Cross Cancer. The cost is $5 per person with Haunt Night entry is $2 per person with limited scare actors (for kids), but the rest of the time - it’s all scare, all the time. Much of the production is kid-built - how cool is that? Find the haunted house at: 7515 Delwood Rd NW.

Family Fun Halloween Haunt in Devon

This Halloween Haunt is little-kid friendly, and one night only. Tickets are only $3 to visit the haunted house experience, and can be pre-purchased online. Popping up for one night only, you can find this haunt in Devon at the Devon Community Centre, kids can enjoy a PG-Rated Family Haunted House + Halloween Station Games along the way.

Lakeland Haunted House

Bring your food bank donation and check out Lakeland Haunted House in Sherwood Park. Located at 1212 Lake Vista Crescent, you can visit daily between October 15 and 31st, 5PM to 9PM. Face masks are required, so get spooky and enjoy this haunted house with the kids!
