We’ve been waiting for the announcement for the opening of the outdoor pools in Edmonton in 2022 - and today the website was updated with more details for the 2022 season including which Edmonton outdoor pools are going to open, and when the Edmonton outdoor pools open in 2022.

Edmonton Outdoor Pools Open in 2022

• Fred Broadstock Pool

• Borden Park Natural Pool

• Queen Elizabeth Outdoor Pool

• Oliver Outdoor Pool

This year, you can skip the line at Borden Park Natural Swimming pool - for the most part - because pool times are going to be reserved online via the Move Learn Play system by the City of Edmonton. We’re excited for the re-opening of the natural swimming pool at Borden Park - it’s been years since we’ve played in the sand, or swam in the little-kid friendly water.

There is one pool that won’t be re-opening in Edmonton. Mill Creek Outdoor swimming pool - as it’s being refurbished.

Outdoor pool season begins July 1, 2022 when Queen Elizabeth, Oliver, Fred Broadstock outdoor pools and Borden Natural Swimming Pool begin opening to the public. Mill Creek Outdoor Pool will remain closed due to ongoing rehabilitation.
