Edmonton Ice District Plaza Outdoor Skating Rink is Open for the Season

Bundle up, and lace up your skates. The skating rink at Ice District Plaza is open for the season, and we’re ready to lace up our skates, hit the ice and take advantage of the sheltered place to skate downtown Edmonton this winter.

You can skate daily between 10am to 10pm, and though skate rentals aren’t yet available, they are coming soon to the area.

Don’t skip Novemberfest! Ice District will feature activities all month long, through the month of November, The festivities include live entertainment, public skating, an epic chilli cook-off in Ford Hall, PBR Canada National Finals and more. You can see the full lineup of Novemberfest events, here.

You can get to the ice from 102 Street at Plaza Way, or through 103 Street and 103 Avenue. Though parking underground at JW Mariott is expensive, it’s also a convenience place to access the new Edmonton outdoor skating rink. Or, are you thinking about creating your own ice rink to amp up your venue and bring a magical winter wonderland vibe? It's a great way to build a sense of community and take the entertainment experience to the next level. Just make sure to confirm the ice skating rink cost, plan the installation process carefully, and consider maintenance expenses.

Learn more at www.icedistrict.com and check the schedule before you visit to ensure the ice is open, here.
