We’ve got a hot savings tip for you when it comes to visiting Edmonton Outdoor pools with the kids this summer - children age 12 and under are admitted for free to city of Edmonton outdoor pools, all summer long.

This year, outdoor pool season begins May 20, 2023 when Fred Broadstock outdoor pool opens to the public. The rest of the outdoor pools in Edmonton will open through the month of May and June.

Adults attending with the kids will still be required to pay, and this year, you’ll continue to book in advance. For the adult in your group that is going to frequent the outdoor pool with the kids, consider a monthly access pass. The City of Edmonton facility recreation pass includes access to outdoor pools and can be purchased for as low as $61/month. This way, you can hit up the pool on the regular, without paying the regular cost of admission every time you visit the Edmonton Outdoor Pool.

Visitors to outdoor pools are asked to book a time slot on MoveLearnPlay to ensure they can access the pool when they arrive. This beats standing in line, not knowing if you’re going to be able to snap up a spot at the coveted Borden Park Natural Swimming Pool.
