Use this Map of Edmonton’s Best Ice Cream as a Guide for the Best Cool Treats in Edmonton this Summer

Ice cream is a summer staple, and we can’t wait to get our hands on a cool scoop, the best soft serve in town, or a classic, Dole Whip, as soon as the weather turns warm. This year, we created a map to help you work your way through the best ice cream in Edmonton - and you can start this week, as many of the shops are open year-round.

Here are 10 Edmonton ice cream shops that your kids will love, you will love, and you’ll enjoy immensely while you cool off this summer.

The Ice Cream Shack
11 Athabascan Ave Unit 128
A kid-friendly favourite, the ice cream shack is serving up classic scoops and hard to find flavours, like Moon Mist. The best part? There are picnic tables, games and hop scotch, with plenty of place for the kids to eat their ice cream. Visit early during the summer but don’t let the long line-ups deter you, it moves quickly. The Ice Cream shack can be expensive, but we love the value in their baby cone. Here, you can get every flavour in the form of a milkshake.

Millers Ice Cream
10030 99 Ave
Millers Ice Cream is a kid-friendly favourite. Not only are you directly across from two or three playgrounds to discover, after you’ve cooled off with ice cream, but there’s a train on site for the kids to explore and discover. At Millers Ice Cream, you can also get a flight of ice cream, four flavours to try, and customize your sundae with everything from nerds to mini doughnuts.
