Register for the Now Cardboard Cup on March 9

The 102.3 NOW Radio Cardboard Cup is coming up soon - and you’ve got just enough time to start planning the creative way that you’re going to slide down the hill at Edmonton Ski Club on March 9, 2024.

Craft your set made from cardboard, string, glue and tape. That’s all. No electronics, No batteries, just good old cardboard, decoration and creativity. Sleds cannot be more than 7-feet in width and height, but can be as tall as you want, with no restrictions on weight.

If you’re entering the race, don’t forget your helmet! The race will take place at Edmonton Ski Club - and registration is required to enter the face or the prizes for best designs. Even if you haven’t entered, it’s a really fun way to spend a Saturday morning, watching these cardboard creations, race down the hill in the Cardboard Cup.

  • $100 - Ages 6-9 Race

  • $100 - Ages 10-12 Race

  • $100 Ages 13-17 Race

  • $100 Ages 18+ Race

  • $1,000, $500 and $300 for the best designs
