Royal Alberta Museum Children’s Gallery Reopens February 16

Royal Alberta Museum children’s gallery re-opens February 16th, and we can’t wait to get back to play.

Here’s what you need to know about the children’s gallery opening:

The Children's Gallery exhibits and activities were created for children ages eight and under to explore and learn in a unique space just for them. Huge floor to ceiling windows, vibrant graphics, and colourful exhibits create a rich, welcoming environment that will engage the senses and inspire curiosity in a fun way. The exhibits and experiences acknowledge and honour developmental levels and learning styles of young children. They reflect that children are capable learners who have a strong voice and learn best by interacting with the world around them through play-based, hands-on discovery, and investigations.

We are in the process of bringing back our many hands-on displays and interactives. For the time being, the Big Machine, Sand Table, Dig Pit and Makerspace, remain closed. We thank you for your patience and invite you to come and experience these areas

Fun fact: The annual membership pass for the Royal Alberta Museum is one of the best bang-for-your-buck places to play with kids.
