Friday
The Midway Comes to Morinville
Morinville Festival Days is back with new activities to enjoy. From June 17-19, you can enjoy tons of free entertainment as well as the Wildrose Midway at the Morinville Leisure Centre. Roving acrobatic performances, balloon making clown, pancake breakfast at the Morinville Community Cultural Centre with extended hours, and an indigenous art showcase featuring a world champion hoop dancer.
Summer Science Circus at Telus World of Science
Get ready to kick-off the summer with circus-themed FUN for the entire family in your new science centre! You will be amazed by a spectacle of science activities, entertainment, cotton candy, magic, balloon animals, and much more.
Saturday
Martin Deerline Day of Play
Enjoy a day of free family fun at Martin Deerline’s Day of Play! Children can learn while they play about life on the farm with hands-on bean planting, pretend cow milking, tractor wagon rides, crafts and much more! How much does a round bale weigh? Do you know what a combine does? Come complete the roadmap to becoming a farmer for the day.
Spruce Grove Family Fun Day
Enjoy fairy finding, character visits, face painting, bouncy castles, glitter tattoos, cookie decorating, rock-painting, balloon animals, planting, and much more! Plus there will be live entertainment and a concession. There’s something for everyone!
UP on the Square
Join the Edmonton Arts Council for UP on the Square, a summer celebration in Churchill Square! This free, family-friendly event will feature live music and performances, SNAP print demonstrations, food trucks, and activities for kids. This is the perfect event to kick off the summer festival season!
FREE Slurpee Canada Skate Park Open
This exciting two-day event offers something for everyone and all levels of skateboard ability. Our newly added Community Day provides inclusive programs for beginners to experienced skateboarders and brings together the local skateboard community. Come out and celebrate skateboarding, and shine a light on local skateboard clubs, host Canada Skateboard workshops, clinics, skate games, prizes, and more.
75th Annual Parade and Picnic in Ardrossan
Check out the parade, pancake breakfast and fun activities throughout the day. At the event, you can expect free inflatables, kids’ magic show, tractor train, wagon rides & lots of free fun throughout the day! You can end the day with Fireworks at 10:15pm!
Dragon Boat Racing Open House and Barbeque
It’s that time of the year! Our boats are in the water and we want to meet you all! Come to the season opener BBQ and see what dragon boating is all about. Activities include: Free BBQ, Learn about the sport of dragon boat and the Edmonton Dragon Boat Racing Club, Paddle on the North Saskatchewan River in a dragon boat, Tour the clubhouse, Explore Dawson Park and more!
Inflatables in the pool at Emerald Hills Leisure Centre
Head over to Emerald Hills Leisure Centre for the best young-kid friendly inflatables in the pool. Children that attend lap swim must be able to swim 25 metres and be accompanied in the water by someone 14Y+.
Check out the St. Albert Pride Festival
This weekend, the pride festival arrives in St. Albert. Celebrate pride and enjoy stage activities, and fun for the whole family. Find drag performers, singers, a 100 foot long obstacle course, foam axe throwing, food trucks, a petting zoo in Rotary Park.

Michaels Make Break: Make a ‘Dad Rocks’ Canvas
Michaels Make Break events are back. Express your love for dad with some pun-ny art! Make a free painted canvas as the perfect father’s day gift. No registration needed, the event takes place between 2-4pm.
The Food Trucks are Coming - Father’s Day Edition
The Food Trucks are coming back to the Grain Elevator Park and River Lots June 19th. Enjoy live music, good eats, tour history sites, and family fun activities from 12–4 pm. There are 12 food trucks to enjoy, family-friendly activities for everyone, and beer and wine for sale on-site.
