The weekend is here, and hopefully, we’re going to have more sun than we had the last couple of weeks. Visit the Edmonton Street Performer’s Festival
Coming out of hibernation hungry for real reality! Edmonton’s first festivals of summer, The Works Art & Design Festival and The Edmonton International Street Performers Festival are teaming up to make this the most entertaining summer in Edmonton, yet!

Drop in for FREE Family Fun in Lions Park
This is a wonderful opportunity to come with your kids and soak up some summer fun in the park. Hotdogs and treats will be provided to registered participants! You can register for free, right here.

Take a FREE Public Walking Tour of Public Art in St. Albert
Best for older children, this hour long walking tour highlighting the rich history of art as a communication tool in St. Albert. Learn more about St. Albert’s public art, the creation of the Art Gallery of St. Albert and the development of the St. Albert Place Visual Arts Council Guilds. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. You’ll have to register in advance for this one, here.

Pop up Night Market at Callingwood
Visit Callingwood Marketplace this Friday for a fun, family night out. It’s the first night market of the season and you’ll find food, drinks, and family fun, all night long. Fun includes: inflatables, face painting, balloon animals, roving characters and more!

Free Indigo Kids Jurassic LEGO Make & Take Event
Join us Saturday July 9th at 11AM for a dino-mite storytime and LEGO Jurassic World Make & Take*. Choose from a fierce triceratops or cool Jurassic World Jeep!

Silly Summer Bike Parade in Forest Heights
Bring your bike and imagination, and together we will make decorations to dress up your ride to show off during the neighbourhood parade. The decoration time is from 10:00am until 12:00pm and is drop-in style, where you’ll get guidance from Stephanie on ideas to decorate. At 1:00pm we will ride through the neighbourhood, sharing joy with the community as we show off the bike creations. THe bike parade is free for community members, and $5 for non community members.

Play for Free at the Green Shack
Get active and join in on games, sport, crafts, music, drama and special events! A complete list of activities and special events is posted on the side of Green Shacks each week. If there is a game or activity that piques your child's interest that you would like to have included in the programming, just ask the Program Leader.

Summer Christmas Carnival at Fort Edmonton Park
Let's face it, the Christmas Spirit is ALWAYS in season at the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton and we want to share it with you. Join the fun on July 9 (in-person) at this fun filled, family-friendly event that puts a festive spin on a Summer Carnival. This event starts with an afternoon in historic Fort Edmonton Park (see map here) and ends with you dancing the night away under the Big Top on the Midway. Get tickets for the fun, here.

Kids Pioneer Day at Spruce Grove Grain Elevator
Looking for a fun activity for the kids this summer? Look no further! On July 9th, 9:00am to 4:00pm, Come to the Spruce Grove Grain Elevator for some old-fashioned pioneer fun! Take a Parent and Kid Art Clay Class at the Art Gallery
Why should kids have all the fun?! Make it a date with your child/grandchild and explore the possibilities of clay while making a memorable keepsake together in our clay studio. You’ll have time to build your clay sculpture and paint it during your class session, after which our instructors will coat it in a clear glaze and fire it in our kilns. Projects will be ready for pick up at the gallery approximately four weeks after class.
