This Fall You Can U-Pick Apples in Edmonton at Attracted to Apples Farm

Attracted to Apples is one of the largest apple orchards in Alberta, with over 800 trees to pick from. Opening for the season this fall, it’s such a popular spot that most of the apples are usually picked the same day the orchard opens!

Apple picking at a local orchard is one of our must-do fall activities with our kids, and every year we make the trek to the orchard to hand pick apples for pies, cakes and muffins.

Bringing the kids to pick apples at Attracted 2 Apples?

  • Choose an orchard on site that has shorter trees, this makes it easier for the kids to get involved. Most of the trees in the orchard are on the shorter side, making it simple for the kids to get involved in harvesting the apples.

  • Dress in layers – in September, the weather can be warm and cool, so keeping the kids comfortable means they’re going to last longer in the orchard. This year, you’re going to want to use a lot of mosquito spray as you’ll be in grass and among trees.

  • Bring your own boxes or bags, these are not always available at the orchards and can make it easier to pick the apples (especially if you’ve got quite a haul!)

  • Bring cash with you, not all local orchards and U-pick farms accept debit or credit, so having cash on hand can help to make the experience easier.

  • To stay up to date on the opening date of the orchard, you can get on the email list for Attracted 2 Apples. Use this link to sign up to be the first to know about the opening season 2023.

Attracted to Apples is located at 54264 Range Road 213 in Fort Saskatchewan (directions can be found on the website, here).
