This is the Best Edmonton Hotel Waterslide Pool for a Mini Family Staycation

We're on our second weekend of Staycation experiences here in Edmonton to get access to the swimming pools, and this time, we're at our favourite hotel so far, the brand new Sandman in Sherwood Park. The Sandman Signature hotel is one of the most popular local staycation options because of the brand new rooms, waterslide, and comfortable pool area. Pool is open for bookings for hotel guests, for one hour each day - where you'll have the entire pool to yourselves. Here's what you should know before you go:

  • Book your hour long swim time early. If you aren't calling near 7am for weekend days, you're probably not going to get an hour long session to swim in the hotel pool. You can book your swim time one day in advance, starting at 7AM by calling the hotel directly.
  • There are no pool toys, etc. so bring your own
  • All hotel guests booking the pool time must be residing in the same hotel, and regular COVID requirements are in place: masks in indoor shared spaces, etc.
  • Chop Steakhouse is located in the hotel, and they have both a regular happy and late-night happy hour if you have children old enough to stay in the hotel room for an hour while you grab happy hour drinks (try the Greyhound, it's our favourite
  • As this hotel is so popular we would recommend visiting on weekdays - not only are the rates a little less expensive, but it will be easier to get a spot (or even two if you're lucky) for the pool.

What was the cost? Hotel rates are around $100 for weekend rates, but you can compare prices using hotel booking websites, or signing up for email promotion offers from Sandman Signature to find promotions and discount codes.Visit www.sandmanhotels.com to book the Sandman Signature for your own physically distanced pool party in Sherwood Park.
