This Year, Cut Down your own Christmas Tree at Fir Ever Green Tree Far

This year, find the magic that comes with cutting down your own Christmas Tree, at Fir Ever Green Tree Farm, near Falun. It’s a Christmas Tree farm we’ve visited in the past to choose our own tree, and the team makes it so simple to create a new tradition, find the perfect Christmas tree and visit a U-pick Christmas tree farm in Alberta.

Fir Ever Green Tree Farm is the destination for U-cut Christmas trees in winter. The family-owned farm has become quite popular for adventures out of town, choosing the perfect tree, and is open for the season starting November 25, open daily throughout the holiday until Christmas, between 9-5pm.

Here’s what you should know before you visit the U-cut Christmas Tree

  • Cash only. Bring cash with you, to avoid having to leave to get cash and having to come back to retrieve the tree. Prices for trees range between $80 for a tree under six feet, to $200+ for a 13’ tree.

  • In other years, sleigh rides have been available on the farm. It’s not been released yet, whether sleigh rides will be available at the farm for the 2021 season. (Sleigh rides have been priced at $5/person in the past)

  • When you visit to cut your own tree, you don’t need to bring a saw - they’ll provide you with one.

  • If you want to visit the farm but don’t want to cut your own tree, there are options available for pre-cut, already wrapped trees that are ready to go.

  • When you visit, you can also purchase firewood, tree stands, fresh homemade wreaths and handmade novelties from the log cabin on-site.
