Try the Brand New ‘Ice Bikes’ at Edmonton Outdoor Skating Areas this Winter

The Ice Bikes have landed in Edmonton and it’s a fun way to get on the ice this winter, if you’re not ready to get up on two skates - or, if you are, but want to try something new. It’s a good opportunity to stay safe while skating this winter in Edmonton.

The Ice Bikes are available as part of the free winter warm up and activations in Edmonton and can be found at Laurier Park, with more Edmonton locations coming this winter.

Ice bikes are bikes on frames, with the front wheel removed and runners along the bottom, so that people can ride on the ice. They are stable and offer an accessible activity to those who cannot skate. The ice bikes will offer a new ice experience for everyone and in particular for individuals who cannot or are hesitant to skate and/or those who have a physical disability. Group rentals for the ice bikes will also be available for a fee.
