Visit the Alberta Railway Museum in Edmonton this Summer
The Alberta Railway Museum opens for the season May 20, 2023. The popular, open-air train museum where kids can climb through, in and on trains throughout the yard and indoor buildings, is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon learning about transportation from years past.
How long should you plan to spend at the Alberta Railway Museum?
Families we’ve spoken to, including us, spend between one and two hours, walking through the yard, exploring the trains and playing imaginative games, as you step into the cars of history. You should anticipate spending at least an hour on-site.

Leave the strollers at home. For this one, bring a baby carrier, but trying to navigate through the tracks with a stroller can be tricky - leave it at home!

You can purchase tickets on-site, no need to reserve in advance.
A family admission to the museum is $40, and includes two children and two adults. Single admissions can be purchased for as little as $6/youth and $15/adult.
