Free Coding for Kids: Code Your Own App
Code and create as a family with Swift Playgrounds using iPad. Kids will experiment with code and design an app using the About Me playground. They’ll use Swift code to customize their app with fun fonts, background colours, Memoji and more. Then you’ll work together to bring their app to life. Recommended for kids ages 10 and up. Devices will be provided.

Hit up Clip n Climb to Climb the Walls
Hit up Clip n Climb this weekend, to climb the walls. It’s a fun way to run off winter energy indoors, and is great for all ages of kids from preschoolers to teens! The admission cost is around $20/child per for the hour, but if you’ve got a group of ten or more, you can get a group discount.

Visit CoLab to Build a Butterfly Lantern Garden
We are building a pollinator's garden in the gallery this spring, and we want you to join in the fun! Come by CO*LAB on February 24, for DIY craft making for the whole community. Create butterflies, moths, bees, or whatever you want. Be part of a community arts collaboration that will be growing in our gallery space throughout March, and out on the street during the GLOW Lantern Parade.

Family Futures Winter Family Fun Day
Join in for a variety of FREE indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family; including snow painting, snowshoeing, snow fort building, hot chocolate, snacks and so much more! The event will go forward no matter the weather as we have an indoor space to use if needed.

Grab your NERF gun(s) and be ready to defend yourself! Extra ammo will be provided. There will be extra ammo and games set up for a break from the ultimate battle of those lovable and lose-able foam bullets. Refreshments are provided for the kids, healthy and otherwise. Enjoy a break from being locked inside your house to being inside the Community Hall, so much room to run, hide and win!

Get outside for rotating activities, at rotating playgrounds throughout the city. City of Edmonton Play Rangers is back for the winter session and is getting your whole family outside with activities like tobogganing, snow fort building, and fire making. Programs are facilitated by local leaders to engage the kids in winter play.

Spruce Avenue Winter Festival
Join the Spruce Avenue Community League for our Winter Fest, Saturday February 25th. Celebrate the winter season from 12:30 to 3:00 at the Spruce Avenue Community Hall. Enjoy a day of fun, free events including; sleigh rides, skating, shinny, snow fun and roasting marshmallows over a fire. Shinny game starts at 1230 and will be 2-20 halves with an intermission.
