City of Edmonton Play Rangers is back for the winter session and is getting your whole family outside with activities like tobogganing, snow fort building, and fire making. Programs are facilitated by local leaders to engage the kids in winter play.

FREE ‘Make Your Own Emoji’ Session at The Apple Store
Kids will learn fun ways to create their own emoji. We’ll show them how to draw colourful faces and objects. They’ll get hands-on using the Procreate app on iPad with Apple Pencil to draw an emoji to take home. Devices will be provided. Pre registration is required.

Snowshoe and Stargaze at Elk Island Park
Come take part in two unique experiences at Elk Island National Park: snowshoeing and stargazing! A short guided snowshoe hike around the shore of Astotin Lake keeps you floating atop the snow while stars twinkle overhead. With a park interpreter and Orion as your guide, gaze up into a sky full of stars and learn to navigate the night sky of the Beaver Hills Dark Sky Preserve.
