City of Edmonton Play Rangers: Snow Forts and Hot Chocolate
Get outside for rotating activities, at rotating playgrounds throughout the city. City of Edmonton Play Rangers is back for the winter session and is getting your whole family outside with activities like tobogganing, snow fort building, and fire making. Programs are facilitated by local leaders to engage the kids in winter play.

FREE ‘Make Your Own Emoji’ Session at The Apple Store
Kids will learn fun ways to create their own emoji. We’ll show them how to draw colourful faces and objects. They’ll get hands-on using the Procreate app on iPad with Apple Pencil to draw an emoji to take home. Devices will be provided. Pre registration is required.

Snowshoe and Stargaze at Elk Island Park
Come take part in two unique experiences at Elk Island National Park: snowshoeing and stargazing! A short guided snowshoe hike around the shore of Astotin Lake keeps you floating atop the snow while stars twinkle overhead. With a park interpreter and Orion as your guide, gaze up into a sky full of stars and learn to navigate the night sky of the Beaver Hills Dark Sky Preserve. Why should kids have all the fun?! Make it a date with your child/grandchild and explore the possibilities of clay while making a memorable keepsake together in our clay studio. You’ll have time to build your clay sculpture and paint it during your class session, after which our instructors will coat it in clear glaze and fire it in our kilns.

Winterfest at Castledowns Park
Join the Castle Downs Recreation Society for WinterFest fun on February 5 between noon and three o’clock for activities in the Castle Downs Pavilion. Sleigh rides, hot chocolate, and snowshoes. It’s a great way to spend a Sunday for all ages of kids and families.
