It’s the weekend, and the first midway of the season. We’ve got plenty of things to do with the kids this weekend in Edmonton. Here’s what to do to entertain the kids during the last weekend of April.

Friday

Catch the First Midway of the Season

The first midway of the season is here and we’re excited for it! Hit it up all weekend at Abbotsfield Mall where Wildrose Shows will be set up for traditional fair rides, food and midway games! Find the fun all weekend long, in Riverview Crossing. This weekend, it looks like there are only tickets available, not ride all day bracelets.

Saturday

Jurassic Quest at Edmonton Expo

Visit Edmonton Expo Centre for the dino-riffic celebration of the summer. Jurassic Quest returns to Edmonton and is a must-do for the dinosaur-obsessed kids. With dinosaur displays, animatronics, and so much more. You’ll get your fix of dinosaurs at this weekend-long festival.

Earth Day Celebration at Toys R Us

Join an #EarthDay Celebration with Toys”R”Us and Mattel! Bring in your own clean recyclables and participate in the Recycled Art Make-and-Take. Using a variety of materials like newspapers, magazines and egg cartons, plus imagination, kids can create their own works of ART! Plus get a FREE Earth day wildflower bookmark (Saturday only), try a Minecraft colouring activity and demo the new Mega Bloks Green Town toys.

Inflatable Swim at Emerald Hills

The best toddler, and little kid pool in the city, there’s a toddler-friendly inflatable in the pool this weekend. This is included in the regular admission, and passes, and is the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The drop-in inflatable will be in the pool between 3PM and 8PM.
