Take a Haunted Trolley Tour (All Weekend)
spooky and historical 1 hour Trolley ride over the Historic and Haunted High Level Bridge and throughout Old Strathcona as the sun sets over Deadmonton. Hear the horrible history of the area and some of Old Strathcona’s and Edmonton’s most spooky and gruesome ghost stories. Learn about the ghosts that still wanders around the Arts Barns, the Spanish Flu victims from the UofA, the ghosts from the original construction of the High-level Bridge and many more deadly stories.

Kids Halloween Carving at Event
Visit the Marketplace at Callingwood for the KidZone event where kids can carve pumpkins, FREE. Join the fun filled Halloween KidZone on October 21 from 12:30-2pm. We will be giving away free pumpkins (while quantities last) and kids can carve their own pumpkin and take it home! We'll also have some halloween treats and fun. Be sure to come dressed up in your Halloween costume!

Baby Boo Family Halloween Event (All Weekend)
Thrills and Delights, you’re not going to want to miss this family friendly Halloween event at the Stony Plain and Parkland Pioneer Museum. The festival is the next two weekends, until Halloween, and features creative craft, a Ghostly Tour of the historical site, Halloween Hall - highlighting family Halloween movies, fun Fall Photo Ops. Ticket includes all of the above activities. Hayrides, Train rides, pumpkin slingshot and wild your own scarecrow are available at an add-on cost.

Lakeland Haunted House opens for the season, this weekend. It’s a perfect low-level scare but still thrilling enough for the older kids, this Halloween. Visit and bring a food bank or pet donation with you, and it’s a low-cost way to kick off spooky season with the kids.

Owl Banding at Beaver Hill Observatory
This annual fall migration of owls occurs from September until early November, with October being the peak in their abundance. Species captured include Northern Saw-whet Owls, Long-eared Owls and Boreal Owls.
