WEEKEND GUIDE: Things to do in Edmonton this Weekend with Kids - September 23-25

Fall weekends are here and we’re here for the many things to do with the kids. You can head out to Delwood community and take a ride in a tethered hot air balloon, check out the double feature outdoor movie night, find free admission to Royal Alberta Museum for the whole family, or take advantage of free admission for kids at UofA Botanical Gardens.

Double Feature Outdoor Movie Night
Lightyear and The Rise of Gru are poppin’ up for a double feature this weekend. Watch both movies at Ardrossan Elementary in support of a new playground build!

Take a FREE Beginners Ukelele Class
Learn to hold and strum basic chords on the ukulele. Kyle and Gary will teach the class to sing and strum along to popular songs Ukulele provided and allow kids to learn some of the basics, while they find passion in a new skill!

Delwood Community Fall Festival
This weekened, bring the whole family to
Delwood Park for family-friendly activities. You can find a free hot dog concession, tethered hot air balloon rides (so cool!), a fundraiser freight maze and family fun carnival, face painting, a family dance, and fireworks to end the night.

FREE City of Edmonton Play Rangers
This weekend you can head outside, and bring your older kids to a local playground to explore new skills. City of Edmonton Play Rangers focuses on group activities with things like orienteering, playground games and more. Kids can discover and explore new playgrounds every weekend.

Kids Get Free Admission to UofA Botanic Gardens
Until October 10th, children get free admission to the Botanic Gardens at UofA - and it’s the perfect time to create fall memories to last a lifetime. The leaves are changing and it’s a gorgeous time to visit the gardens with the kids. Bring a picnic!
