Friends, and halloween-loving families – Boo at the Zoo is back! Though not all families are going to be doing their regular halloween activities, you can still take part in the Edmonton area Halloween events that are a staple to the seasonal spooky fun. Book at the Zoo is our favourite fall event, and this year, it might provide a safer alternative to Halloween trick or treating in Edmonton.
We can’t wait to visit! Not only is it a fun way to spend Halloween Day (that’s on a weekend this year) but it’s cost effective for the many families that have zoo memberships, as the fun admission-only event is included in the membership!
Here’s what the Zoo has to say about the fun, annual Halloween event.
Even though Halloween is approaching, don’t be afraid of ferocious tigers, scaly snakes or bone-chilling bats. Get closer to the wonders of the animal kingdom at the Edmonton Valley Zoo to celebrate conservation, costumes and candy!
Please wear your costumes and bring a reusable treat bag. Zoo staff will be handing out candy at trick-or-treat stations in a safe manner. Although these event days will be missing some fun extras you’ve come to expect from Boo at the Zoo, the zoo is committed to hosting a safe and fun Halloween event.
Our existing safety protocols will be in place, such as online timed ticketing, a one-way path throughout the zoo, and limited capacity in our indoor buildings.
This year, there are few changes in place. Tickets are only available online, and the regular admission fees apply. Families with memberships can reserve their spot online, included in their membership, and children under the age of two are free to visit. Make sure to get your tickets for the event quickly, as they’re bound to sell fast as many families search for new, and fun ways to celebrate Halloween in Edmonton.
