If you’re looking for fun Halloween activities in Edmonton that aren’t trick or treating, we’ve got you covered! This week, we’ll be sharing activities and events for the whole family that don’t include going door to door, allow you to physical distance but still enjoy the holiday – like being able to discover the Royal Alberta Museum Halloween experience by flashlight!
Visit the Royal Alberta Museum for some physically distanced fun this Halloween (and bonus points – you’ll stay nice and cozy in your costume, indoors). Costumes are recommended, and masks are mandatory for your visit (non-medical masks, not costume masks) and as we all should currently, make sure your sanitizing regularly, and using physical distancing when you’re around other families.
All Royal Alberta Museum halloween activities are included in your visit to the museum on October 31, and tickets must be purchased in advance.
Flashlight Expedition: What do you find in the dark? Ages 6-12
The dark can disguise many spooky things… do you dare to look? Grab a (sanitized) flashlight, venture into the roundhouse, and see what objects you might uncover. (If you are bringing kids too young to experience this, or that might be frightened, you could always split up the two adults in the group and have one visit the Roundhouse while the others tackle the photo scavenger hunt to get a head start!)
Bug Encounters All ages
Are they creepy, or just misunderstood? Catch the Bug Encounters in the lobby at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm, and meet the stars of the Bug Gallery outside of their tanks!
Photo Scavenger Hunt All ages
Put on your detective hat, and take a shot at our photo scavenger hunt. Solve the riddles, search through the galleries, snap a photo, and tag RAM on social media. If you complete the whole hunt, you’ll receive a code for 10% off at the Museum Shop!
Visit www.royalalbertamuseum.ca to buy tickets and schedule your time to visit on October 31, 2020.
