5 Fastest Edmonton Toboggan Hills for Adventurous Kids

It’s tobogganing season and we’re here for the cold thrills down the local hills. We’ve all got our favourite hills in our own neighbourhoods, but today we’re sharing five hills that are worth the drive for older kids, up for the adventure.

Whitemud Ravine

Fast, fast, fast. Fast is the name of the game at Whitemud Ravine. With stairs at the side of the hill, and parking near the hill, it’s a great choice for accessibility (not to mention that Alfred H. Savage Centre is right there).

Gallagher Hill

This one’s for older kids (or if you’re an adult who wants to go down the hill for a thrill.) Sledders go fast here, and you’ve got a long walk to the top of the hill. It’s fast, the walk is long but the ride down is worth the trek to the top. Walk up the side of the hill, and there’s plenty of street parking near the hill. For Gallagher Hill, you’re going to want to make sure you’ve got a rope attached to the sled,

Walton’s Mountain

Walton’s Mountain is one of the lesser known hills in the city, but worth a trek if you’re looking for one of the best Edmonton toboggan hills this winter.

McGhan Park (Sherwood Park)

This hill is a great choice for older kids, on a community hill in Sherwood Park.
