FREE Learn to Skate Lessons at City Hall Winter City Weekends
Want to gain some confidence on the ice? Join the Edmonton Arts Council for free drop-in learn skating lessons. Visit City Hall rink Saturday and Sunday between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. for free skating instruction!

Skate the Night Away at Sherbrooke Community League
Late night rink access after the rink closes for ages 10-16! Movies in the hall to take breaks and chill out and a Sleepover in the hall! Breakfast in the morning including pancakes (dietary restrictions can be accommodated). All activities will be supervised by volunteers with vulnerable sector police checks. Parents are welcome to volunteer t o help supervise as well.

Mill Creek Colliery Band Show
Join the Mill Creek Colliery Band for another community favourite family friendly concert! Get ready for some tunes where "Up is Down" and an experience that is both educational and fun for children of all ages. We will be joined again by educator and returning alumni Amy Porter as our compere.

South Clareview Community League Sledding Competition
Join us for a fun afternoon of sledding competitions! Compete in 3 categories: Under 12, 12-18, and Family. Prizes include Fan Favourite Sled, Fastest Run, and Best Wipeout! Registration and run times to be posted closer to the date.

Youth Pasta & Movie Night
Come out and enjoy a Youth Pasta and Movie Night for youth aged 10-15. At this fun, immersive event, you will make your own pasta and enjoy a movie!

Sturgeon County Winterfest
Join us for tons of outdoor and indoor fun! Enjoy an Alberta petting zoo, pony rides with carousel amusements, maple syrup sticks and shack, horse drawn wagon rides, outdoor activities, indoor delicious treats like hot dogs and s’mores, cookie decorating, fire pits and so much more. Winter City Weekends are returning to City Hall Plaza! With the arrival of frostier temperatures, the Edmonton Arts Council is welcoming back Ice Grooves, Swing n’ Skate and free skate rentals. 

Winterfest at Strathcona Community League
Winterfest 2025 is coming soon. Enjoy skating, sleigh rides, kids carnival games, crafts, outdoor kids activities, crokicurl, fire pit, hot chocolate, s'mores, macaroni & cheese cook off, free BBQ.
