Not so Scary Haunted Halloween Hike | Until Halloween

This (less scary) haunted house is available afternoons for families that are looking for a little less scare for their Halloween experience. Tickets are $5, and the haunted hike is located an hour east of the city, in Vegreville. With no characters, it’s scary, but not so scary that kids will be scarred going through. It’s incredibly well done, and so worth the drive outside of the city.

Dark at Fort Edmonton Park | Until Halloween

Grab your tickets to the popular haunt at Fort Edmonton Park. There are three full haunts that you can visit - with three separate themed immersive houses. This one is older kid friendly, we would suggest bringing kids 10+. The houses are scary enough, but not terrifying for tweens. There are fun characters throughout the park, food and drinks, and games you can play on the midway.

Kiwi Nurseriess Haunted House | October 14-31

Are YOU brave enough to walk through our trails? Let’s hope you’re not scared of the dark… There’s a haunted house in Spruce Grove, at the nursery, that you’re going to want to check out this year.
Admission is $5.00 per person, children under 10 are free; or a food bank donation per person. Tickets will include a small commemorative flashlight to celebrate.

The Great Big Boo at Cineplex | October 16-31

A fun, interactive show at Cineplex featuring Zoe and Justin. They will sing and dance their way through Boo Alley and along the way, they’ll meet wacky, larger-than-life characters and embark on a quest to save Halloween. Perfect for small kids, just getting introduced to Halloween activities.

Watch Halloween on the Big Screen at Metro Cinema | October 22

Hospital emergency room Dr. Daniel “Dan” Challis (Tom Atkins) and Ellie Grimbridge (Stacey Nelkin), the daughter of a murder victim, uncover a terrible plot by small-town mask maker Conal Cochran (Dan O’Herlihy), a madman who’s planning a Halloween mass murder utilizing an ancient Celtic ritual. The ritual involves a boulder stolen from Stonehenge, the use of Silver Shamrock masks and a triggering device contained in a television commercial—all designed to kill millions of children.

Hawrelak Park Pumpkin Walk | October 23

A drive through pumpkin event at Hawrelak Park. Bring some snacks, stay cozy in your vehicle, and listen to a sweet story as you slowly make your way along the road in Hawrelak Park. Stop at marked stations to get clues as you go, with a special gift from the Winter Gnome waiting at the end of your journey. We will provide you with a story script, audio files to listen to between each station, and more.

Boo at the Zoo | October 23,24, and 30,31

Enjoy two weekends full of Halloween activities at Edmonton Valley Zoo, full of spooky fun! Tickets for Boo at the Zoo on October 23, 24, 30, and 31 are available online only and MUST BE pre-booked in advance. Walk-up admissions will not be available.

Goats and Ghouls Halloween Howler | October 23-24

You can visit and dress up in your favourite Halloween costume, both adults and children welcome. Enjoy a thrilling hay ride out on the 40-acre Dreamcatcher™ property (social distance seating is ensured). Enjoy fun interactive contests and games. Enjoy a scavenger hunt in the Magical Forest. Take advantage of a selfie photo booth and enjoy a fun, family night out.

Take a Haunted Trolley Tour | October 25-31

Take a spooky and historical Trolley ride over the High Level Bridge and throughout Old Strathcona as the sun sets over Deadmonton. Hear the horrible history of the area and some of Old Strathcona’s and Edmonton’s most spooky and gruesome ghost stories. Learn about the ghosts that still wanders around the Arts Barns, the Spanish Flu victims from the UofA, the ghosts from the original construction of the High-level Bridge and many more deadly stories.

Scary Scavenger Hunt at Callingwood Marketplace | October 27

The Marketplace at Callingwood is pleased to be hosting KIDZONE on Wednesday, October 27th starting at 3PM where we will be giving away Free Pumpkins for families to carve. There will be a kids-friendly scavenger hunt fun for all ages!

Spooky Strathma Scavenger Hunt | October 29/30

Gather your party and explore Broadmoor Lake Park as you undertake The Witch’s Quest. Are you up for the adventure? What’s the story? A coven of kooky witches has crash-landed in the park. They need your help so they can take flight and make it to their Halloween celebration on time. If you can get them on their scary way, the tricksters may give you a treat! But beware… The witches will only share their secrets with fellow witches, so you must pass some macabre tests to earn their trust. Complete the quest, cast the spell, and receive your reward. Tickets are $25, for this fun, spooky scavenger hunt.

Halloween Brunch at Central Social Hall | October 30

Fun is back for the Second Annual Halloween BRUNCH PARTY! Round up the squad, choose a costume (mandatory), and grab a table! We're playing nothing but the best in Hip Hop, R&B, Dancehall, Old School, and Latin! You know what to expect! EVERYTHING on the brunch menu is $15, and tickets are only $15, sold by the table.

Halfmoon Fun at Halloween | October 30

Head out to the farm for Halloween fun! You can book a treasure mark, see animals in costume and enjoy fun, outdoor activities on the farm. Tickets are $50/family, and horse rides are extra.

Trunk or Treat at Celebration Church | October 30

This is a family friendly Halloween event where people decorate their vehicles with a Halloween theme and pass out candies to children and families who "trick-or-treat" through the event. This will be a fun-filled, free event with costumes and lots and lots of candy!

Trunk or Treat in Fort Saskatchewan | October 30

Trunk or Treat is back! Join us on October 30, 2021 in downtown Fort Saskatchewan for some trick or treating fun! As this event is well attend we respectfully request that masks be worn so that children both big and small, can enjoy the event as safely as possible.

Halloween at Pigtopia | October 30

This ticketed, halloween themed event at a local farm includes: family friendly spooktacular fun, games, treats, music and costume party! The party lasts two hours, and is little-kid friendly with bouncy castle and treats all afternoon.

Halloween Pajama Party in the IMAX | October 30

It's a Halloween costume party and you're invited! Grab the family and get dressed up to see this friendly ghost on the big screen on October 30. Tickets are $9.95 and on sale now for this all-ages event.

Arkadium Retro Halloween Bash | October 30

The special Halloween event showcases our Halloween themed pinball and classic video arcade games like Dracula, Frankenstein, Tales From the Crypt, Ghosts & Goblins, and many more with attendees dressing up in their favourite Halloween costumes. Tickets are speedy at $50/persons, but it’s a fun option for older kids.

Devon Halloween Haunt | October 30

Head to Devon for a cheap ($3), PG-Rated Family Haunted House + Halloween Station Games. Each ticket includes between 15-20 minutes to complete the haunt and stations.

This kid-friendly dance party on Saturday, October 30th from noon to 4 pm, will feature costumes, fun and crafts. There are themed halloween activities, music and games for kids of all ages.

Tween Scream Dance Party | October 30

The annual Tween Scream is back!! (under guidance from AHS, EFCL and the city of Edmonton) Ghouls and Ghosts from Grades 1 to 6 are welcome to enjoy an evening of dancing with DJ Davy and a loonie concession. Volunteer parents are needed and there will be strict sign in and out measures.

Make a Halloween Treat Bag | October 31

Eemjoy a morning of spooky fun at the St. Albert Place Visual Art Studios! We'll supply everything you need to decorate your very own cloth trick or treat Boo Bag. Children under 7 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance.

Halloween Drag Brunch at El Cortez | October 31

Sister Mary is back on Whyte Ave with a new series of performances! This Halloween come celebrate at El Cortez for the debut performance - Hallo Queens!

FREE: Halloween Costume Skate | October 31

At this fun, free skate, families can enjoy some SPOOKtacular quality time while enjoying no-cost skating at Kinex Arena! It’s a free, fun, way to spend the afternoon getting rid of some of that energy from the Halloween candy!

Trunk or Treat at Vantage Point | October 31

This is a family friendly event! Everyone is welcome to come and grab some candy from our decorated trunks and we are hoping to be handing out hot chocolate as well. We will have fire pits to warm up and it will just be a great time for all.

Lowlands Spooky Outdoor Art Installation | Until Halloween

Lowlands has resurrected its spooky and anxious art exhibition with 11 new art installations inspired by modern monsters. The outdoor exhibition showcases artists from Edmonton, Calgary, Athabasca, and Montreal. Find it at: 11208 65 Street Northwest, Edmonton. It’s free with donation suggested.

Halloween at Mission Ridge Stables | October 31

Mission Ridge Stables is hosting their 2nd annual Halloween activity day for children! Come dressed up in costume, dress up a miniature pony or donkey, and take a photo. Admission includes interacting with and feeding the animals – feel free to bring apples and carrots! – a craft, dressing up a mini, COVID-safe “trick or treating” with the animals, and pony rides!

Take an Edmonton Ghost Tour | Until November 3

On Edmonton Ghosts Tours, you can discover a haunted history in Edmonton.
