Summer Fun: Best Edmonton Area Spray Parks - 2022

Spray Park season is here! It’s the best free way to cool off in Edmonton with the kids. Edmonton and area spray parks are opening soon, usually around May long weekend. This year, we’re sharing the best Edmonton spray parks for local kids.

With more than 70 spray parks to choose from, just in the city of Edmonton, you’ll have no problem finding a place to cool off this summer - but here are ten that you should make a visit to, at least once during the summer season.

Broadmoor Lake Spray Park

Very few Edmonton spray parks have a slide on site, making this a popular place to cool off for local families. Adjacent to two larger parks, this playground is a hit during the summer months.

Arkann Spray Park (Adrossan)

This adorable farm-themed spray park in Ardrossan is worth the drive for the youngest members of the family. It’s adjacent to a playground, but is best for the under-six crowd because of size and play opportunities.

Mill Woods Spray Park

One of our favourite Edmonton spray parks, this smaller scale park has plenty of seating on picnic tables, near the park, a fantastic toddler playground, and easy parking.

Jackie Parker Spray Park

Jackie Parker Spray park is the best spray park to visit with older children, or multi-age families. There are plenty of places to cool off, but also a huge playground on site.

Roesenthal Spray Park

This cute plant themed spray park is a neighbourhood favourite. It’s not the largest park, but the wide open spaces for picnic blankets are a hit!

The Meadows Community Rec Centre Spray Park

Located right outside The Meadows Recreation centre, this Edmonton spray park has close proximity to washrooms and showers.

Legislature Spray Park

The lower Edmonton splash park, pictured, is a popular place to cool off, but the upper splash park comes to life at dusk, with the colored beams of light through the water. Bring a picnic and spend the day!

Castledowns Spray Park

Castledowns Spray park is the best and brightest, with some of our favourite spray park features, and an ice cream truck usually on site for those hot summer days.

Is it a kingdom, or a spray park? Either way you slice it, it’s a great place to cool off on a summer day - especially since it’s so difficult to find a local spray park with shade!
