Tubing Season - 5 Places to go Snow Tubing Near Edmonton Area this Winter - 2021

Snow Tubing is ramping up to be a popular way for families to get outside during COVID. With so many families hitting the hills for tubing last winter, more local ski hills are increasing their hours, or creating new areas to go snow tubing in Edmonton. If you’re one of the families hitting the hills this winter, we’ve got you covered.

The Best Places to go Snow Tubing in Edmonton area

Sunridge Tubing

Our favourite place to tube with the kids, the Sunridge Tubing Hill is a great option for families with older children. With the season slated to open December 11, and tubing available for most days, it’s a fun way to get out with the family.

Minimum age: 48: (minumum age 7)
Tickets: $20 ($7 helmet rental)
Days available: Most days of the week

Rabbit Hill

New this year, tubing has launched at Rabbit Hill. The hill is set to open on November 24th, 2021. There are three tubing lanes being opened this year, and we can’t wait to experience the brand new tubing run this month!

Minimum age: 42” (and 4 years old) to ride alone, ages 2-4 can ride with parents
Tickets: TBA, season pass holders receive 10% off of tubing
Days available: Wednesday to Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Christmas Break

Tawatinaw Valley

Head just outside of the city to one of the best tubing hills near Edmonton. Bookings can be made online for this adorable tubing option near the city. Don’t forget your helmet, helmets are mandatory at Tawatinaw. The opening date has not yet been announced for the 2021 season. At Tawatinaw, you’ll have to walk up the hill.

Minimum age: 42” (and 4 years old) to ride alone, ages 2-4 can ride with parents
Tickets: $5+ (helmet rentals $2) for 1.5 hours

Eastlink Tubing (Near Whitecourt)

There are two tubing courses at Eastlink for a full day of family fun. With the affordable family rate for a family of four to go tubing, it’s worth the trip outside of the city for a day trip (don’t skip a stop to Hard Luck Canyon when you visit). The tubing hill opens for the season December 4, with the option of day or night tubing.

Tickets: $15/person, family rate of $40
Days available: Saturday, Sunday - all day, Wednesday, Friday evenings.

Edmonton Ski Club

Edmonton Ski Club is launching tubing seven days a week this season. There are two tubing courses on the hill, and you can book your two-hour time slot, online. The courses are good for kids, and a magic carpet will haul kids up the hill, standing.
