Western Canada’s Largest Ukrainian Festival is Coming to Borden Park This Weekend

This weekend, experience two days of non-stop Ukrainian entertainment, food, and culture - Friday May 27 and Saturday May 28, 2022 at Borden Park. UFest is the largest multi-day Ukrainian Festival in Western Canada, and this year, it’s more important than ever to join together and honour Ukrainian culture.

UFest 2022 at Borden Park

  • The festival is free. There is no admission cost, or fee to attend and participate in the celebration of Ukrainian culture.

  • New for 2022 is the addition of a Ukrainian Heritage Pavilion, special attractions including a petting zoo, and a larger beer gardens

  • Bring cash for the food, vendors in the marketplace, the beer gardens and art for sale

  • Kids activities at UFest will include a petting zoo, kids zone activities including beaded bracelet making, colouring content, face painting, and more. Plus, cultural displays, music and dance performances, and of course - the incredible playgrounds and landscape within Borden Park.

  • New this year, there’s a guest culture! Indigenous culture and dance will be featured throughout the festival with indigenous music, dance and culture, within the festival grounds.

Supporting Ukraine

At the festival, festival guests will have the opportunity to support Ukrainian’s fleeing the war coming to the Edmonton Region. Donation stations will be situated throughout the park with all proceeds going to Ukrainian Canadian Social Services. Other partners such as Firefighter Aid Ukraine and the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Alberta Provincial Council will be onsite sharing more ways you can support Ukraine and Ukrainians.

So, pack up the kids and head to Borden Park this weekend because we’re kicking off summer festival season in Edmonton with the largest Ukrainian festival in Western Canada.
