You Have to Visit this Free ‘Lights in the Park’ Christmas Lights Installation This Winter

Greenland Garden in Sherwood Park has transformed their botanical display garden into a wonderland filled with lights, colour, polar bears and even narwhals! Explore the garden pathways lined with shimmering trees and magical photo spots. You’re not going to want to miss this one this winter - and there’s no admission fee to pay to visit.

In the current economic climate, where everything is becoming more costly for families, we appreciate that Greenland Garden Centre has created this free Christmas lights experience in Edmonton - and they’re using the initiative to give back to families in the community. This is a great time to donate with your kids!

Here’s what you need to know before you visit ‘Lights in the Park’

  • There is no cost to visit the ‘Lights in the Park’ installation but donations are greatly appreciated. You can make your donation inside the Greenland Garden Centre, in support of Strathcona Christmas Bureau and Salvation Army

  • Lights in the Park is open weekdays until 9pm and weekends until 6pm, now through December 30th, 2023 (hours may vary at the end of December).

  • Parking is simply located outside the garden centre, there is no additional cost

  • When you’re finished walking through the outdoor space, there’s a lovely cafe inside the greenhouse. It’s also one of our favourite places to get inspired for Christmas tree decorations, with the lovely decorated Christmas trees inside.

  • The trails are stroller friendly - or sled friendly, for when the snow falls.

How to Get to Lights in the Park: Greenland Garden Centre is located at 23108 Hwy. 16 in Sherwood Park.
