Join us for an unforgettable Lunar New Year Celebration in Edmonton’s Chinatown in Partnership with the Royal Alberta Museum as we embrace the Year of the Snake !

The event kicks off with an Opening Ceremony featuring firecrackers in front of Lucky 97 at 11 AM, leading into the spectacular parade with the lions and dragons along 97th Street.

From 12 PM to 4 PM, head to the Royal Alberta Museum at 9810-103A Ave NW for cultural performances, vendors that sell lucky charms, cultural arts and crafts, Photo Booth fun and complimentary caricature and face painting.

  • Spectacular Lion Dance Performance outdoor and indoor: A cherished tradition that brings blessings & good fortune!

  • Photo Opportunities with the Lions, Money God and Money: Capture the essence of this remarkable day with your loved ones

  • Red Envelope draw prizes worth $5000 and Money God will be distributing 388 red envelopes.

FREE to attend Lunar New Year Event on the second level. Admission to Museum Galleries at the Royal Alberta Museum not included.
