Free Nature Alberta Migratory Bird Day

  • 400 Ray Gibbon Dr, St. Albert (map)

Join Nature Alberta, Big Lake Environmental Support Society, and many other naturalist and conservation organizations at Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park Day Use Area for a celebration of World Migratory Bird Day.

This year’s WMBD theme is “PROTECT INSECTS, PROTECT BIRDS” and focuses on insects and its importance to bird life. Insects are essential sources of energy for many migratory bird species, not only during the breeding seasons but also during their extensive journeys and greatly affect the timing, duration, and overall success of bird migrations.

This FREE, family friendly event will feature lots of engaging and hands on activities in the shelter as well as along the board walk, speakers, nature walks, photography displays and more!
