‘Chiseled’ is Bringing Ice Carving to Ice District this Month in Edmonton

Ice District is bringing ‘Chiseled’ to Downtown Edmonton this winter. Eight teams, Fifteen block sculptures and thirty-four hours. The carving happens on-site at Ice District January 24-26, 2023.

Here’s what you should know before you go to Chiseled in 2023 in Edmonton

  • The ice carving can be viewed all the way through the process. You can pop by Ice District between the 24th and 26th of January to view the carving, and vote here when you’ve chosen your favourite.

  • The carvings will be available to view after the weekend of carving has been completed. Skip the crowds and head downtown on a weekday if you’re looking for a less crowded experience through the month of February (keep an eye on the weather to make sure the sculptures don’t have a chance to melt before you visit!)

  • ‘Chiseled’ will feature Internationally acclaimed ice carvers. You can view the entire roster of carvers, here.

  • The admission and viewing is free, and there are no tickets required.
